Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan(Died 2022). The group consists of siblings Peter “Peetah” Morgan(Died 25th Feb 2024), Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. They grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, but their roots are Jamaican.
Morgan Heritage has been active since the early 1990s and has released numerous albums over the years, earning critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Their music typically combines elements of reggae, dancehall, and R&B, and they are known for their tight harmonies and socially conscious lyrics. They have won several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album for their album “Strictly Roots” in 2016.
The band’s discography includes albums like “Miracles” (1994), “Protect Us Jah” (1997), “Don’t Haffi Dread” (1999), and “Avrakedabra” (2017), among others. They continue to tour and perform internationally, spreading their message of love, unity, and positivity through their music.
